The difference between vibration bearings and ordinary bearings

1. Appearance characteristics

Vibration bearing:

A. The diameter of the rolling body is increased, and the length of the rolling flange is increased.

B. The cage is guided by the outer ring flange of the self-lubricating composite bushing to reduce the force on the roller.

C. Guide the roller with the inner ring rib to improve the roller operation.

D. Cylindrical roller bearing cage adopts integral structure and its strength is greatly improved.

E. The self-aligning bearing outer diameter is set on the copper-base self-lubricating plate to measure the oil hole of the oil groove, and the lubrication effect is good.

Plain bearing:

A. Roller diameter and rolling element length are small.

B. The cage has a roller or inner ring guide.

C. Cylindrical roller bearing cage rivet structure, easy to loose, off the lid.

D. Self-aligning bearing outer diameter without oil groove oil hole, poor lubrication effect.

2. Selection of materials

Vibration bearing:

A. Vacuum and degassing bearing steel is used for the inner and outer rings and rolling elements, and the fatigue resistance is good.

B. The cage uses aluminum-iron-manganese bronze material with high strength, good elasticity, and better wear resistance.

Plain bearing:

A. The inner and outer rings and rolling elements adopt common bearing steel.

B. The holder is made of zinc brass, which has low strength and poor elasticity.

3. Heat treatment

Vibration bearing:

A. Inner and outer rings adopt shellfish-horse mixed quenching or martensitic quenching and high temperature tempering. The hardness is uniform and the internal stress is small; toughness is good, impact resistance and vibration are good.

B. The stability is good when working within 150C temperature.

Plain bearing:

The inner and outer rings adopt common quenching methods, poor toughness, poor impact resistance and vibration performance, and poor thermal stability.

4. Tolerance and manufacturing process

Vibration bearing:

A. Manufactured strictly according to P6 precision standards, especially with very small internal and external diameter tolerances.

B. Rolling body size difference ≤ 0.002

C. The outer diameter of the cylindrical roller has convexity to avoid stress concentration.

D. Super-smooth surface of the rolling surface, high finish.

Plain bearing:

A. General PO grade precision tolerance (part of P6 standard) manufacturing.

B. Rolling body grouping ≤ 0.005.

C. Cylindrical roller without convexity practice.

D. Part of the raceway is only polished and its finish is low.

5. Internal clearance

Vibration bearing:

The clearance is produced according to the requirements of vibration machinery, the range is controlled within a small range, and the consistency is good.

Plain bearing:

The clearance is generally produced according to the standard group or the C3 group, the clearance is small, or the range is large and the dispersion is large.

6. Use effect

Vibration bearing:

Low noise, small temperature rise, good stability, long service life, no early fatigue.

Plain bearing:

Noise, high temperature, poor stability, short service life, early fatigue.
